We strive to increase awareness of the Latino culture, promote sisterhood and leadership, serve as role models and achieve academic excellence. We encourage all women, whether they are in the Hermandad or not, to promote a diverse cultural and social environment.

Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc. places solidarity at the forefront. It is simple to create a group of many parts, but it is difficult to have many parts come together to form one group, one sisterhood. While no sister is the same, each of us is able to relate to each other based upon a mutual respect for bettering our campuses, our communities, and ourselves.
